Quotes
This website does not publish prices and nothing on it is a quote or an offer. A quote is given by phone or on site after the problem has been diagnosed, and it reflects the work required, the parts and fixtures chosen, access to the pipe or appliance, the timing of the visit and any permit the town requires. Work that turns out to be larger than first diagnosed is scoped and quoted again before it continues.
Access and site conditions
You are responsible for giving the plumber safe access to the fixture, heater or pipe, for clearing the work area, and for telling us about known hazards such as asbestos insulation, lead pipe or a private well and septic system. Opening finished walls, floors or ceilings to reach a pipe is part of the quoted work; cosmetic repair of those surfaces is not unless it is written into the quote.
Permits and inspections
Massachusetts regulation 248 CMR 3.05 requires a permit from the local plumbing or gas inspector before most plumbing and gas-fitting work. Where a permit applies it is obtained by the licensed plumber, the permit fee set by the municipality is passed through, and the work is scheduled for the town's inspection. You agree to allow the inspector access.
Materials and warranties
Fixtures, water heaters and parts carry their manufacturers' warranties, which are passed on to you. Workmanship concerns should be reported promptly so the installation can be checked. Warranties do not cover damage caused by freezing, water quality, misuse or work done by others after the visit.
Cancellations and changes
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled by phone. Cancel before the plumber is dispatched where you can: once a plumber is on the way the trip has already happened, and anything owed for it is explained to you at that point.
Changes to the scope or the service address should be requested before the visit, so the right parts are on the truck.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim connected with a visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
